Kawagoe (川越)

Kawagoe (川越), also known as Little Edo, is located about 30 minutes by train from Central Tokyo. Its main street is lined with Kurazukuri (clay-walled warehouse-styled) buildings and transports one back to the Edo Period (1603-1867). During the Edo Period, Kawagoe prospered as a supplier of commodities to Edo (now known as Tokyo)
